We have an immediate need for a Vice President of Sales & Marketing to join our team at our Corporate office in Troy, NY. This is a full-time role, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Marketing
  • Establishes and oversees marketing plan strategies and provides strategic direction and insights into the annual marketing budgets for all properties.
  • Ensures advertising initiatives are focused, express meaningful brand attributes, and effectively connect with key audiences.
  • Designs and develops marketing plans in accordance with established budgets for properties in collaboration with the responsible Regional Manager and/or Field Marketing Manager.
  • Leads efforts to enhance lead generation results and sales and marketing funnel optimizations.
  • Oversees the conceptualization and design of printed collateral, advertising campaigns, press releases, etc. for general marketing purposes, public relations opportunities, trade shows, etc.
  • Partners with outside vendors, designers, writers, and creative teams; negotiates financial arrangements with selected advertising services.
  • Partners with Management teams to generate new business contacts, marketing ideas, competitive shops, inside and outside sales efforts to increase occupancy for residential and commercial properties.
  • Supports Site Management + Property Staff to execute stated marketing plans and overall advertising and marketing strategies that support rental of 100% of the units at the highest possible market rates.
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive representation of the Company and its services in the business communities which we serve with centers of influence. Represents the Company regarding selected professional/civic organizations, Chambers of Commerce, IREM, Local and State Housing Agencies, etc.
  • With direction from Management, implements marketing promotions, initiatives, and sale plans of new assets in their lease-up phase, minimizing the lease-up period timeframe in achieving 100% of occupancy.
  • Oversees and provides leadership within the Marketing department to ensure quality production and delivery of materials on time and within budget.
  • Builds relationships across the organization and with clients that contribute to the growth and overall success of the company.
  • Oversees corporate marketing initiatives that help grow the brand, attract and retain talent, and grow United Group’s position as an industry leader.
  • Oversees and manages digital advertising across the portfolio.
Marketing Shared Services
  • Oversees the development of advertising and marketing collateral for print and electronic media outlets in accordance with marketing and operational plans and budgets.
  • Oversees communications and public relations to ensure Socially FIT programs are utilized effectively and consistently in conjunction with scheduled marketing events and activities.
  • Audits and ensures marketing efforts and marketing reporting is compliant with all fair housing rules and regulations.
  • Designs, re-designs, and/or manages value added marketing programs enhancing product value for the Management company.
  • Assists Regional Managers and/or Field Marketing Managers with any marketing, retention plan or activity needing additional assistance or support.
Job Overview + Qualifications
  • Job Type + Compensation: Vice President of Sales & Marketing; $160K - $175K (salary commensurate with level of experience)
  • Schedule: Full-Time - Monday through Friday; Travel required as needed
  • Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field preferred
  • Required Experience: 8-10+ years of experience in marketing with a proven track record of marketing/sales success
  • Experience in multifamily and senior housing preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; attention to detail
  • Presentation skills including speaking in front of public groups, employee training and development, and community leaders with ability to clearly communicate and present to senior management and owners
  • Understanding the creative process and the ability to communicate, direct, and conceptualize creative marketing campaigns
  • Mathematics skills and capability to prepare budgets and price compare marketing and advertising costs
  • Demonstrates current working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws, including all applicable Fair Housing regulations, pertaining to the marketing of residential and commercial leasing
